Cauliflower is a cruciferous vegetables that look like a white version of it's cousin, broccoli, Like broccoli, the tightly bunched florete of cauliflower are connected by a thick core,often with a few light leaves surrounding it.
Cauliflower originally came from the Mediterranean region and arrived in Europe around the end off the 15th century. It's an offshoot of a type of wild cabbage that's also the ancestor of kale, Brussels sprouts, and kohlrabi.



Ingredients:

  • Cauliflower buds (boiled for two minutes) 20

Batter ingredients:

  • Refined flour (sieved) ¾ cup
  • Corn flour ¼ cup 
  • Red chilli powder ½ teaspoon
  • Chopped ginger ½ teaspoon
  • Chopped garlic ½ teaspoon
  • Salt ¼ teaspoon
  • Cooking oil for frying

Manchurian sauce ingredients:

  • Ginger paste one teaspoon
  • Garlic paste one teaspoon
  • Green chillies 3 digits
  • Onion chopped ½ digits
  • Spring onion chopped for garnish ½ digit
  • Capsicum small cubes one digit
  • Tomato sauce two tablespoon
  • Chilli sauce two tablespoon
  • Soy sauce two tablespoon
  • Vinegar two tablespoon
  • Red chilli crushed one teaspoon
  • Cornflour (dissolved in water) one teaspoon
  • Water ¼ cup
  • Black pepper crushed to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • Cooking oil four tablespoon

  • Preparation time: 15 to 20 minutes
  • Cooking time:20 to 25 minutes


Synthesis:

  1. Mix all the batter ingredients ¾ cup of refined flour,¼ cup of cornflour,½ teaspoon of red chilli powder, ½ teaspoon of chopped ginger, ½ teaspoon of chopped garlic and ¼ teaspoon of salt in a bowl.
  2. Coat cauliflower buds with the batter.
  3. Take a clean pan and place it on the stove.
  4. Put oil in it and heat it on medium heat and add cabbage flowers little by little.
  5. When the cabbage flowers turn light golden, remove them.
  6. Heat oil in a pot and fry one teaspoons of ginger and garlic paste till golden.
  7. Add three digit of green chillies, ½ digit of onion (chopped), three digit of spring onion (chopped), fry on high flame.
  8. Add one capsicum (small cubes), two tablespoon of soy sauce, two tablespoon of chilli sauce, two tablespoon of tomato sauce, two tablespoon of vinegar, one teaspoon of red chilli, black pepper to taste and salt bring to boil.
  9. Add one teaspoon of cornflour (dissolved in water) while stirring and add cauliflower when the sauce thickens.
  10. Transfer into a serving dish and garnish with spring onion.
