Ingredients:
- Barley (soaked) two cups
- Gram lentil (soaked) one cup
- Yellow lentil (soaked) ½ cup
- Red lentil (soaked) ½ cup
- Rice (soaked) ½ cup
Qorma ingredients:
- Beef 400 grams
- Qorma masala two tablespoon
- Onion (finely cut) one digit
- Ginger paste half tablespoon
- Garlic paste half tablespoon
- Salt to taste
- Red chilli powder to taste
- Turmeric powder to taste
- Yogurt ½ cup
- Cooking oil ½ cup
- Fresh corainder, green chillies, ginger, lemon,hot spices as accompaniment
Tempering ingredients:
- Onion (finely cut) one digit
- Clarified butter ¾ cup
- Preparation time: 15 to 20 minutes
- Cooking time: one hour
Synthesis:
- Cook two cups of barley, ½ cup of rice,½ cup of yellow lentil,½ cup of red lentil with a little salt till tender.
- Heat oil in a pan and fry onion till golden.
- Add 400 grams of meat, half tablespoon of ginger paste, half tablespoon of garlic paste and fry them.
- Add all the remaining qorma ingredients salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, yogurt, onion, qorma masala and fry.
- Add barely, rice, yellow lentil,red lentil and water cook on low flame stirring continuously to mix well till the mixture uniform.
- Transfer Haleem into a serving dish, cook tempering ingredients and pour over Haleem.
- Garnish with fresh corainder, green chillies, ginger, lemon, hot spices and serve.
